I just wanted to thank you all for your sweet comments on the post below. To some people it may not be a big deal, but to me, every doctors appointment that I leave with a good report is a reason to rejoice! Living with the fact that at any time the cancer could come back can sometimes be really hard on me emotionally! That is where my Faith in the Lord steps in. Every time I have been faced with a trial the Lord's grace, mercy and peace has been there to see me through! I am so thankful for His peace that passeth all understanding!
Some of you who are new to our blog did not know about me having cancer. I have battled with Ovarian cancer twice. I was first diagnosed in 2006 at the age of 19 and again two years later in 2008. Unfortunately I wasn't able to catch it as quickly the second time as I did the first time and I had to have a hysterectomy and 6 months of chemo. I started this blog soon after my first battle with cancer. Blogging became therapeutic for me. Sometimes I wasn't even sure if anyone was reading what I would write, but I didn't care. It was a way for me to get my feelings and emotions out. This blog has kind of been my "Journey Journal" and I think it will be neat one day to look back and see what the Lord did in our lives through these trials that have come into our lives.
I know that there is a lot of post on our blog, and I am sure it can be overwhelming if you have just started reading our blog. If you are new to our blog and want to read more about my battle with cancer you can look on the home page and go to the search bar in the top left corner and type in "Cancer". That should bring up all of the post that I have posted dealing with cancer. I told my Momma the other day that cancer used to be a word that was unusual to hear. Now it seems that more and more people (young and old) are being faced with this terrible disease every day. A follower of our blog recently wrote me a email and at the end of the email they said, "I am writing you this letter because I am a cancer survivor and I wanted to let you know that there is life after cancer." I really needed to hear that at that time in my life. I feel like the Lord sends family, friends and even strangers in our lives to encourage us, pray for us, and uplift us. I hope that some day my story can be a encouragement to someone who is battling this terrible disease. The Lord sent so many people who encouraged me and lifted me up during my surgeries and chemo and I am so thankful for each and every one of you! I can't thank you enough for your love, prayers, support and especially your friendship! God Bless!

Lyndsie!!! What great news!!!! That is a huge deal!
What a blessing! I am a follower of your blog, and you are an inspiration to me. My Aunt is currently battling breast cancer, and I recently found out that one of my best friends was diagnosed with lung cancer. She is the mother of two gorgeous children, a wife, a friend and one of the strongest and most generous people I know. We have been friends for over 12 years, and I would like to ask for your prayers for her.
God Bless you, and may the good lord keep you in good health.
Mrs. Top Gun
Your story already IS an encouragement!
You truly are an inspiration, in more ways than one!
I missed the last post until just now, and I'm a relatively new follower so I wasn't aware exactly of all you've been through.
Your story is so full of God's work! Thanks for being so transparent about it... you are such an inspiration!
Congrats on a year and half clean, and may God continue to do awesome things with your life!
Praise God! Every day cancer free is wonderful! My brother was diagnosed with leukemia at age 4 and he just turned 20! We praise God for every year he is here! He is deemed "cured"!
Amazing to see God's answers to your prayers. =)
