Lots of Catching Up.....
Happy Birthday Keller!
On November 30th my friend Keller celebrated her 25th birthday. (Since we have not had Internet I am very behind on this birthday wish but I did want to make sure that I posted about her birthday.) Keller and I have been friends for as long as I can remember. Because we are both married and because I have moved 4 hours away, Keller and I don't get to see each other as much as we would like. When Keller and I are able to get together we always just pick right up from where we left off! I am so thankful for Keller and for the wonderful friendship we share! A Day at Kackleberry Farm..
I loved all of the pictures from their day at Kackleberry Farm! I miss all of my babies and can't wait to spend some time with them next week!

On the Menu for Tonight...

PREP TIME: 5 Min
COOK TIME: 10 Min
READY IN: No time!
INGREDIENTS FOR 2-3 SERVINGS:
6 thick slices bread (I like to use Texas Toast)
2 eggs
2/3 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Salt to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Beat together egg, milk, salt, desired spices and vanilla. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or skillet over medium-high. Dunk each slice of bread in egg mixture, soaking both sides. Place in pan, and cook on both sides until golden. Serve hot.
A few tweaks that I made to the original recipe:
As I mentioned, I used Texas Toast so the french toast would be thick and fluffy!
I added more cinnamon than what the recipe recommended
While the bread was cooking, I covered the pan so that the bread would cook at the way through!
*Don't forget the powdered sugar & warm maple syrup!

A Rainy Day in Georgia...

Kendyl said, "By this time they were tired of taking pictures and were ready to eat...and Ellyn was on the run from the dog worried she would eat her cookies!" Haha! Oh the fun you have at the Beggs house!! I have missed all of my babies and can not wait to see them in a few weeks!!"A Love Worth Waiting For"
I just learned how to upload Youtube videos to the blog today and I am very excited! I know this video is from our wedding but we never could figure out how to upload it to the blog. So.....just in case you haven't seen it already here is the video of Daniel singing to me at our reception. This is a song (with the help of his sister Amy and his brother Brad) that he wrote and sang for me on our wedding day!
Amy and Alex singing "When the Rain Comes"
I am sure many of you know this already, but for those of you who don't, the Brooker family is very talented!! They all can sing beautifully and can also play the violin, piano, and guitar. This is a recent song that Alex played while Amy sang "When the Rain Comes" by Third Day. Amy and Alex are so talented and Daniel and I are very proud of them! Hope you enjoy their song!
