STILL Cancer Free!!!

I had my two year PET scan done last week. I actually didn't really tell anyone I was even having it done because I've always known that the type of Ovarian cancer I have is a reoccurring cancer and if it was going to come back that it would be around the two year mark. So far I have not made it past two years without it returning. Next month will be two years since my last surgery to remove the cancer. As you can imagine, I was a little anxious and nervous to get my test results back this time. The Lord had already given me a huge peace about the test but I still wanted to hear from the Dr that everything was ok! I got a call yesterday saying that my PET was completely clean and there was no cancer to be found! PRAISE THE LORD!!! Medically speaking I can't say I am "cancer free" until I am 5 years with no cancer, but I don't care about that! I am still celebrating 2 years of being CANCER FREE!!!!!

But the Greatest of these is....Charity!

1 Corinthians 13 KJV
~The Love Chapter~

1-Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2-And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3-And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

4-Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5-Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6-Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7-Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8-Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9-For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10-But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11-When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12-For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13-And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

I looked up the definition of love and charity in the dictionary today. Love is a feeling...a emotion, but "charity" as it is talked about in the verses above is a "love in action".

The Definition of Charity- "Love in Action" 1. Christian love; agape 2. A charitable act or work 3. Something given to a person or persons in need.

The Definition of "Love"- 1. A profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.2. A feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend 3. A person toward whom love is felt; beloved person; sweetheart 4. Affectionate concern for the well-being of others.

Love Challenge: Think of some ways you can show others around you how much you love them! Not only by your words, but your actions as well!

*Check back tomorrow as I continue "Love Week". Daniel and I have put our heads together and have come up with some great, inexpensive ideas to help make your Valentine's Day with that special someone one you'll never forget! : )

What Does Love Mean?

I've never been one that is big on Valentine's Day. I always felt like it was just another day to buy gifts and spend money. And plus, why did you need a holiday to let that special someone know how much you care? Why couldn't that just happened every day? Well....now that I am married I do think that I will enjoy this Valentine's Day a little more than I have in the past! I thought that every day this week leading up to Valentine's Day that I would do a little post on Love and special Valentine's ideas. Please feel free to comment with any ideas you may have to let that special someone know how much you care! I am sure many of you have already read this before but I think it is so cute! Here are what some other children think love is....(I highlighted some of my favorites! : )

*Friday's Favorites*

I usually don't participate in "Kelly's Korner- Show Us Your Life" but this week the theme was "Show Us Your Beauty Tips and Favorite Products" so I thought I would tie that in with my Friday's Favorites. Which by the way, I might as well go ahead and make is Saturday's Favorites because I never seem to get it posted by Friday! haha I don't think I really have any "Beauty Tips" but I do have lots of my favorite products!

I think one of the most important things is to always have a clean face! Before going to bed, first thing in the morning or before putting on your make-up make sure you always have a clean face! My face wash routine is probably kinda weird! I have very sensitive skin so I finally just had to use what worked good for me.

I wash my face with Baby Wash. (It always works great for washing your make-up off!)

I like to use a scrub, but in the past I have ran into a lot of scrubs making my face break out. I finally found a clean and clear scrub that I really like! (I only use it once a day)

After washing my face, using a scrub, I use Clean and Clear Astringent.

And finally I use Mary Kay's Moisturizer to finish my routine.

Now on to make-up! All of my make-up is Mary Kay and I absolutely love it!

I use Mary Kay's full coverage liquid foundation and then I use their mineral powder over as my foundation. * Beauty Tip-I mix a little of a shimmer powder in with my foundation powder to get a "glow" look with my foudation.

*A Must Have* is Mary Kay's brush set!

I love Mary Kay's Eyeshadow. (I couldn't find a picture) Here are some of my favorites:
Spun Silk
Granite
Espresso
Crystalline

I also use Mary Kay's Mascara in Black

I also love Mary Kay's Lip Liner, Lipstick and Lip Gloss. Here are some of my favorites from Mary Kay:

Favorite Lip Liners:
Neutral
Dusty Pink
Chocolate

Favorite Lip Sticks:
Paradise Pink
Berry Kiss
Apple Berry

Favorite Lip Gloss:
Cream and Sugar
Fancy Nancy
Gold Rush

*If anyone is interested in ordering any Mary Kay products you can email me at lyndsielou42@hotmail.com.

Favorite Hair Products:

Kenra Hair Spray! I don't know what I would do without my Kenra Hair Spray! It is absolutely the best hair spray there is!

If you have a flat iron, Kenra hairspray and a teaser....you're good to go! Haha

*It is always fun to swap beauty secrets and ideas but always remember that True Beauty comes from the inside out...not the outside in! :)

You give 110% in all that you do and I hope you know how proud we are of you! I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for your future! Just continue to put Him first in your life, and seek Him as you begin this next chapter in your life! I hope you had a wonderful birthday! Don't ever forget about how much I love you!!! Happy Birthday!!
Love,
Lyndsie

Happy Birthday Bro! I wish I could have been there to help you celebrate the big 21, but since I'm not I wanted to let you know that I'm proud of you and the man you have become! I don't know of any other 21 year olds who have worked as hard as you have to build your own business from the ground up and still have the energy to go to school at the same time. You always take pride in what you do and you do it with a good attitude! That must be why everyone likes you huh? : ) Anyways, I've had a great time growing up with you over the years and aside from a couple dozen of your terrible jokes, I wouldn't trade our friendship for anything. Haha I hope you have a great day! Love ya! -Daniel
